Home Learning

If your child is absent from school, because they have to isolate, and while we get the remote learning provision up and running, you might want to check out learning opportunities from White Rose MathsOak National Academy and BBC Bitesize - primary.

White Rose Maths: Go to the relevant year group and you’ll see five lessons for each week. These will roughly match the teaching and learning happening in school. We think it would be good to use the presentations for the previous week and the current week. Your child’s learning will be most effective if you sit with them to pause the clip and check/praise/support your child as the clip moves on.

Oak National Academy: Click on ‘subjects’ and then choose ‘Key Stage 1’ or ‘Key Stage 2’. You can then select a variety of subjects. This learning won’t match exactly what’s happening in school, but there are some great videos that will really help to support home learning.

Purple MashThere are also a wealth or resources available through Purple Mash; a guide for parents on what you can access is available here.

Remote Learning
To ensure consistency in our approach to remote learning for pupils who aren't in school, our Remote Learning Policy sets out expectations for all members of the school community with regards to remote learning.
