Welcome to year 3! As a class we are very excited to be moving into KS2 and we look forward to all the new challenges this will bring. We love learning about maths and we are also brilliant at Art and DT. We like to do outdoor learning and enjoy all kinds of PE. In class we love computing and enjoy role play and being with our friends. This year we will be working on improving our handwriting and making lots of progress in English. We work as a team to make sure everyone in our class enjoys coming to school and loves their learning. We are excited about what the year will hold for us. 

Topics

English
As we head into the last half term of year 3 we will be focusing on the speaking competition in our English lessons. The children will be working in small groups to research and speak about a topic of their choice and hopefully be successful in getting to the final!

Maths
This half term we will be covering column addition and subtraction and looking at shape, perimeter and area. We will also be covering data handling and going over fractions and decimals. 

Topic
Our new Topic will be animals in their environments we will be covering arctic animals, desert animals, sea animals, and forest animals. Each week we will be looking at a different set of animals in their environments and how they are adapted to suit.
